BEIJING: An air show in northwest China's Shaanxi province saw a Chinese fighter jet blow up in the air on Friday morning. One of the two pilots jumped off to safety in a parachute while the other one is missing. The official television said it was Xiaolong jet, which was the result of a Sino-Pakistan cooperation in aircraft manufacturing.

　　北京—本周五上午在中国西北部陕西省举行的一航空展上一架中国战斗机发生爆炸。机上的两名飞行员中的一名（成功）跳伞并落入安全区域，而另一名飞行员下落不明。中国官方电视报道此战斗机为枭龙战机。

　　There were no casualties on the ground, a salt marsh, when the exploded remnants of the jet fell some distance away from the Neifu Airport in PuchengCounty. The official Xinhua news agency quoted witnesses as saying that the missing pilot appeared to have been trapped in the jet as there was no sign of a second parachute.

　　地面并无人员伤亡，枭龙战斗机爆炸产生的部份碎片落在陕西蒲城内府机场几公里外的盐沼地内。中国官方新华社援引目击者的话报道称失踪的飞行员好像被困在战斗机内，而且没有任何二次跳伞的迹象。

　　The accident may affect China's image as an aircraft manufacturing nation after its successful forays in different kinds of civilian and military aircraft with western companies including the establishment of a plant to produce Airbus.

　　在成功尝试同西方多家不同商用与军用航空器制造商合作与竞争的情况下，其中包括建造生产空客的制造厂，此次意外事件可能会影响中国作为航空器制造国的形象。

　　Before the fighter jet took off, the commentator at the air show described it as FBC-1, also known as a Flying Leopard, which was manufactured by the Xi'an Aircraft Industry Corp. CCTV, the official television, also called it the Xiaolong, which was produced as part of the China-Pakistan development program that started in 1999.

　　在此枭龙战斗机升空前，航空展上的播音员将其播报为FBC-1（又被称为新一代飞豹战斗机），该战斗机是由西飞制造的。CCTV，中国官方电视台在报道中却称之为枭龙战斗机，并表示此战斗机是由始于1999年中巴两国一发展项目研制的。

　　Three military aircrafts have crashed in China since 2004 including an early warning place of the Chinese air force, which resulted in the death of 40 people in the eastern province of Anhui in 2006.

　　自2004年中国已有3架军用战斗机坠毁，其中包括2006年导致中国东部安徽省40人死亡的空中预警机坠毁事件。（No.1.-- 2006年6月3日安徽空警预警机坠毁 2006年6月3日，一架由运八改装的预警机在安徽某地失事，机上40名人员全部遇难。事后有分析指出造成如此大伤亡的原因之一是军方安全管理意识薄弱，事故飞机严重超载。这也是解放军建军史上最严重的一起军机空难事故。 No.2.--2006年11月14日兰空歼7撞鸟迫降失败 2006年11月14日，兰空飞行员李剑英驾驶歼7结束训练返航时撞鸟。当时飞机上还有大量燃油弹药等危险品，李剑英决定改跳伞为迫降，三次放弃跳伞求生机会，最终迫降失败，李剑英不幸遇难。空军给李剑英追记一等功，并追授他功勋飞行员金质奖章。 No.3.--2008年6月25日解放军两架歼-8战机相撞 2008年6月25日，内蒙古自治区发生解放军空军战机相撞事件，两架属于沈阳军区的歼八训练机在呼和浩特郊外进行飞行训练时，在空中相撞后坠毁，两名飞行员安全弹射跳伞逃生，仅受轻伤。）

　　Folks, note here: China NEVER reveals when its air force planes crash or its navy ships sink, etc. The only reason they are forced to admit this crash is because it was a PUBLIC air show, and there were foreigners present. Over a hundred Chinese PLAAF planes have crashed since 2000, to which China has NEVER admitted to. This is called the "controlled media" state policy being followed since 1950's. In the past, even crashes which have been seen by rural public have been suppressed from foreign media by simply threatening the villagers with a horrible fate, or simply sending entire village into a "re-education" camp - As was the case when a J10 plane crashed a few years ago, and which only leaked because the crash was observed by US Air Force. China has from its inception, carefully controlled what news is released to international press, and hence has overblown its image as a "Gold mansion" when it is infact a "Tin hut".

　　朋友们，请注意：中国是从来不会透露有关战斗机坠毁或是海军舰只沉没的消息的！为什么这次被迫承认战斗机坠毁了呢？那是因为那是在国际航空展—公开场合啊！而且有许多外国朋友在场。自2000年以来至少有100架中国空军战斗机坠毁，但是中国政府从未公开承认！就像几年前歼10战斗机坠毁的时候，为什么该消息会被报道出来？那是因为被美国空军发现了！中国从一开始就谨慎处理对境外媒体公布相关信息的事宜，这样就能给人造成金玉其外的感觉了，然而实则……。

　　Wait till India gets the T-45 from Russia. That's right they'll keep the T-50 & palm off the JV version to the IAF. Should suck up to Uncle Sam more, you might get some F-34's & F-21's.
