For positioning, the GPS receiver does not send signal to the GPS satellite.
For asset tracking, the GPS receiver may pass the positioning data to a satellite modem that transmits to a communication satellite. The GPS receiver and the satellite modem can be built inside the same housing, but this does not mean the GPS receiver is communicating to a GPS or a communication or any satellite.
In no application does a GPS receiver transmit to a GPS satellite. So how do you claim that the GPS system is an active positioning system? Remember, this was your original claim.
