Judging from its servile and obsequious behavior toward countries like Japan and United States as if no actions however rude and demeaning can dent its feeling of self-worth, I can only conclude that Taiwan is a place filled with indignity and devoid of a simple sense of self-respecting decencies. Yet, in front its own fellow Chinese and toward China, its haughty arrogance, and fanciful perception of self-importance, not to mention its quixotic and ridiculous delusion of superiority, can only arouse profound indignance and pity from all but even a casual observer. |
