Comparing someone with 6 to 8 years of dedicated medical education and that with 4 year of liberal art education and then 4 years of medical study, their education levels are exactly the same. That is why AMA recognizes the medical degree earned from China as an equivalent of the US MD. They need to take qualifying examines to get into the hospitals for apprendiceship i.e. residency. |
