People with high visibility, such as writers, lawyers, artists (list Ai Weiwei), scholars, have been targeted by  foreigners to work for them. The relationship is like employee and employers.

But people with the highest visibility, like movie stars, sports stars, they have lots of fans. This group of people are not easy to betray their country. Why? The incentives probably can explain that. The stars on stage  receive high income from their country, they cannot find the same income in foreign country. But those writers, lawyers, artists, scholars, they can find much better income from work with foreigners. That's why they don't care about their motherland's well-being. Can that happen to the military people if they are targeted with great force of incentives from foreigners?
