The falling of the western power in the beginning of the 21 century is not caused by economic issue, the true reason rests with the war in Afghanistan. The war has destroyed the trust of the world on the system the west boast and they promise to bring to Afghan people. At the dark moment, the people of the world are desparately looking for something new to give their hearts' new hope. That is why China become so populous darling these days. If China ignore its responsiblity and choose to join the  western force, that will be very sad for the world.

If we forget all of these factors,  look at Taiwan. if the separatist declare independence to China, and China launch a war, the troops on the passage can enter into China, and our contry will be finished. Even they are in Afghanistan, they are still a big threat to China.
