战场上的对比是鲜明的：

美军武器先进，军火充沛。中国军火不足，武器落后。

打了一年，美军终于看出中国的“人海战术”。

中国虽然军火不足，落后，但是人口众多。中共用“抗美援朝”宣传，激励/欺骗国人，把源源不绝的中国人送上前线当炮灰，消耗美国的军火。

美国最后不得不自问：『打死这些手无寸铁的中国人干什麽？有什麽好处？』

所以Omar Bradley告诉美国国会，韩战是：

wrong war, at the wrong place, at the wrong time, and with the wrong enemy.

据我所知，这场战争使美国人认为中共是个没有人性的残酷政权，这个想法，导致美国后来的中国政策：围堵。

一直到1972年，20年后，尼克松访问中国大陆，周恩来才“打败”美国的围堵政策。
