Nope. Chinese Army didn’t agree to the original agreement of withdrawing. Col Santosh Babu, along with his men went with no weapons to the Chinese post for sorting the matter. Upon returning they were hit by Chinese with rocks and stones and barbed wire. The initial party of India soldiers was about 20 soldiers but a second party arrived to help them taking numbers of Indian side to 55.
Whereas the Chinese were approximately 250 in Number. The fighting went on for long, past midnight. Most soldiers on both sides succumbed due to bleeding and falling into the ravines. Chinese haven’t revealed their casualties and this is a big dishonour to Chinese soldiers.
